Director of software development, Mark Wilson, tapped to lead fast growing mobile locationing and cyber security company’s engineering group.
MAPLE LAWN, MD May 7, 2014 – AirPatrol Corporation today announced the promotion of Mark Wilson to Vice President, Engineering. Wilson, who has been with the company since its founding in 2008, was previously its director of software of development where he captained the creation of AirPatrol’s mobile device security product, ZoneDefense, as well as its new location-based services platform, ZoneAware.

A veteran software engineer with nearly a quarter century of experience, Wilson honed his skills in the fast-paced environment of enterprise and security software startups. As AirPatrol’s head of software development, he helped take the company’s award-winning wireless and telecommunication security products from concept stage to commercial sales.
In his new role, Wilson’s duties will include overseeing AirPatrol’s software development team as well as the hardware development group that designs the company’s line of cellular and WiFi sensors. Wilson will be based out of the company’s engineering office in Vancouver, British Columbia.
