My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the events last week in Boston and West, Texas. The bravery shown by those who raced towards the explosions, the first responders, and those that patrolled the streets of a shutdown city is beyond admirable. Thank you.
Even after we have figured out who and why, the best we can do to move forward and remember those lost is to prevent it from happening again.
This is where innovative industry needs to step up and create the tools that can stop events like this. Our nation’s reactions have been both timely and effective, and the vital role of social media in identifying those who are presumed guilty is one of the first we have seen. But, we need more – we need to be proactive against these events.
If we as a nation want to keep ourselves, our employees, our customers, our businesses safe, we need to take the steps the government is not able to. It’s no secret industry can move more quickly than government, and this past week proves the ability to record information through monitoring is incredibly important. The data from today can protect us tomorrow.
Thank you again to those showing extraordinary bravery. To the rest of us, this is a call to action.
